Crack open the hellsite that is LinkedIn on any given day and you’ll be confronted with an infinite scroll of complete arseholes and no-marks cluttering the feed with their rabid proclamations about various bits of hardware, software and “you need to read this” best practice. Have a casual flick around YouTube, and you’ll find them there too: draining their mind-testes all over your screen like chimpanzees amped up on PCP at a swinging party.
Welcome, wanderers from across the internet. It’s good to have you here, and I hope you find something of interest to fill a few minutes of your day.
This is a personal blog, containing short articles covering a somewhat random variety of topics, written in between my day job, my other hobbies and time with my family.

This site is written using a simple offline stack: Hugo as a static site generator and Ansible as a deployment mechanism taking care of syncing things to my VPS. I used Claude to carry out some of the initial scaffolding and busywork to get things up and running quickly, with a clear brief on what I wanted the workflow to look like. For writing articles, I exclusively use Neovim running with my personal combination of plugins and scripts. It’s my day-to-day editor for most things because of its extensibility and speed. All articles are written in Markdown as you might expect these days.
